MAT May 2018 will be conducted in both offline and online modes, and a candidate can select any of the modes while filling the form. MAT 2018 will have 200 objective type questions divided into five sections.

 Marking Policy

A candidate scores one mark for each correct answer and there is negative marking scheme of ¼ marks i.e. 0.25 marks. The maximum marks, which a candidate can score is 200 and the scaled score is given out of 800.


MAT May 2018 exam is not strictly pre defined. Still the MAT syllabus covers following major topics in each section.

Number System, Ratio and Proportion, Mixtures and Allegation; Unitary Method; Time and Distance; Commercial Maths; Profit and Loss, Interest; Geometry; Triangles, Circles; Mensuration; Algebra Permutation and Combinations; Sequence And Series; Trigonometry Heights and Distance; Linear Programming; Coordinate Geometry.
